Hello, loves! Thanks for dropping by!

I'm a University of Northern Iowa Panther, former elementary teacher and currently work as the Education Director for the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. I have a Russian Blue kitty cat and a passion for Williams-Sonoma cookbooks. I'm both a world-class whiner and an irrepressible optimist. My hobbies include concocting new recipes for my “Franken-dinners” and planning events (mostly weddings).  I admit to being a total word-nerd with delusions of children’s book authorship. I'm known for creativity on a budget and for knowing the back-up vocals for every Motown song on record.
